F/T Precinct Advocate - Works out of the designated Suffolk County Police Precincts three evenings per week, one day in the courts and one day in administration office; provides crisis intervention services, court accompaniment and support during criminal justice system process; provide advocacy with the police and the courts in securing Orders of Protection. Minimum qualifications: Associates degree in related field; experience working with domestic violence issues and/or similar type work with not for profit; paralegal experience a plus.
